Our history

Ti Chef, a family story

Ti Chef was born from a simple desire: to pass on Haitian cuisine to children, just as it is passed down in families, from generation to generation.

The recipes in the book are inspired by those that Nephtalie Joseph cooked with her mother, Madame Marie Mirlande Charles. Everyday dishes and holiday treats, from epis to pen patat, that taste like home.

Cooking together, safely

In Ti Chef, each step clearly states who does what. The child measures, pours, and mixes. The adult handles the stove, the oven, and the frying. Each recipe highlights allergens and safety precautions, so that the experience remains a pleasure.

More than just a cookbook

With Talie and Tijo, children aged 6 to 12 learn a Creole word with every recipe and find a game or drawing to pass the time while cooking. A gentle way to share Haitian culture, whether you grew up in Haiti, in the diaspora, or are discovering it for the first time.

In French, English, and Creole

Ti Chef is available in three languages, so that every family can cook in the language of their heart. The e-book is available now, and the print book is coming soon.
